Need help with your tax return?
COTA Seniors Voice, with support from the
Australian Taxation Office, provides a free tax help program for individuals 50 years and over to assist with simple and straightforward tax returns.
The service is offered by volunteers who are trained by the Australian Taxation office.
The free tax help service can help you if:

Your income is less than $40,000
-
Your tax return is simple and straightforward
Booking for appointments commenced in July.
Dates when appointments are available are: Fridays from the 7th of August to the 2nd of October (please note, some dates are fully booked).
If you require other financial information, Centrelink offers a free, independent, confidential Financial Information Service (FIS). You can contact an FIS Officer on 13 23 00.
