In April 2010 the Australian Government asked the Productivity Commission to develop detailed options for restructuring Australia’s aged care system to ensure it can meet the challenges facing it in coming decades. The draft report was released on 21 January 2011. A public hearing was held in Adelaide on 31 March 2011. The final report was issued on 8th August 2011.
