Physical Activity

 
Physical activity is an essential part of maintaining a healthy and independent lifestyle for people of all ages; unfortunately, however, many people find that their level of physical activity diminishes as they get older.
 
In order to address this COTA SA has developed programs aimed at increasing the availability and accessibility of fitness opportunities amongst older people.
 
Positives of Being Active:
Strength for Life  promotes the benefits of strength training to people over 50 and trains and endorses fitness providers throughout South Australia to run strength training sessions.
 
Fitness Programs provided by other organisations  - In addition to the programs run by COTA SA we are happy to support and promote programs and other fitness opportunities being offered to older people by other organisations.
